Fraser Rise is a young, fast-growing suburb located about 24 km northwest of Melbourne’s CBD in the City of Melton. Gazetted in 2017 from part of Plumpton, it now has a population of around 9,100 (2021 census) and is projected to grow considerably in the coming decades. 

The community in Fraser Rise is largely made up of young families, with many households having over three people on average. Barry Plant It’s quite multicultural and has a median age in the early 30s.In terms of infrastructure, Fraser Rise is currently quite car-dependent. There is limited public transport: a single bus route links the suburb to Watergardens and Caroline Springs train stations.  Major roads like the Calder Freeway and Melton Highway provide driving access to Melbourne. 

For education, there’s no primary school yet within the suburb, though one is planned for 2026.  Secondary students go to Springside West Secondary College (Years 7–12)One of Fraser Rise’s strengths is its affordability and appeal to young families, but it does face growing pains: public transport is limited, and local amenities are still catching up to the rapid population growth. That said, its long-term potential is strong, especially for people looking to invest or settle in a newly developed, community-oriented suburb.
